Saskatchewan Soccer has engaged the services of Cultural Bridges, a Saskatoon based consulting firm dedicated to building connections between cultures and contributing to the creation of a more global understanding of the world we live in, to create a guide that provides recommendations and tips to Member Organizations who are interested to increase the participation of newcomers within their organization.

resource page that offers multiple resources for engaging newcomers in soccer and includes a list of Saskatchewan's settlement agencies and Open Door Societies.
Saskatchewan Soccer Website Assessment
Saskatchewan Soccer has engaged the services of Cultural Bridges Inc., a Saskatoon based consulting firm dedicated to building connections between cultures and contributing to the creation of a more global understanding of the world we live in, to complete an assessment of Saskatchewan Soccer's website, in order to ensure that language utilized is welcoming and accessible to people who are not familiar with the Canadian soccer system, as well as for those who speak English as an additional language. The assessment and subsequent changes were released in 2020.
Support of Member Organization Newcomer Engagement
Saskatchewan Soccer supports Member Organizations who are interested to engage newcomers by doing research, sharing resources, and connecting MOs to others who may be of support.
MAP Grant
The
MAP Grant provides Member Organizations with significant funding opportunities to grow the game for newcomers to our communities.
Athlete Assistance Program
The
Athlete Assistance Program provides financial assistance to athletes participating in sanctioned High Performance training environments to assist in their continued development and ensure high performance programming is as accessible as possible to talented and dedicated athletes with financial barriers to participation.
