Youth Engagement Member Strategy
The Youth Engagement Member Strategy defines the programs, services, and initiatives that specifically serve youth participants and Member Organizations who serve youth participants. Specifically, the initiatives in this strategy engage youth to become today and tomorrow's leaders in our communities.
Coach & Referee Education
Saskatchewan Soccer offers young people the opportunity to become certified coaches and referees by attending coaching courses and referee clinics. Young people may participate in these courses, or Member Organizations may host education opportunities specifically for youth.
Youth C License
Saskatchewan Soccer is pleased to promote youth leadership development by offering one free C License coaching course each year to youth aged 16 to 25 who have previously completed their Learn 2 Train or Soccer 4 Life community coaching courses.
Referee Development Programs
Certified youth referees who are interested to improve their refereeing skills and become bigger leaders within the game are may access the SERP and Candidates referee development programs.
SSA Recognition Awards
Saskatchewan Soccer is pleased to utilize young athletes from the local community as the hosts and emcees of its annual Recognition Awards celebration.
EXCEL Youth Engagement Days
The EXCEL Program hosts youth engagement days, where Member Organizations' youth teams come to tour the facility, watch the EXCEL Program's games, participate in post-game interviews, interact with the Excel athletes, and receive presentations on the EXCEL program and player pathway.
EXCEL Athlete Empowerment Opportunities
As part of the EXCEL Program, female high performance athletes are provided the opportunity to lead sessions (in the classroom and on the field) to gain presentation, leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
MAP Grant
The MAP Grant provides Member Organizations with significant funding opportunities to grow the game in youth leadership development and engagement.
