Regina hosts 2020 SaskTel Sport for Life Indoor Youth 6-a-side Provincial Championships
Teams from all corners of the province will descend on Regina this weekend for the 2020 SaskTel Sport for Life Indoor Youth 6-a-side Provincial Championships. 31 teams from 11 Saskatchewan communities will be competing in five age categories including Under 15 Girls and Boys, Under 17 Girls and Boys and Under 19 Girls. Communities represented are Regina, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, Swift Current, North Battleford, Yorkton, Prince Albert, Kindersley, Melfort, Nipawin, and Lloydminster.
“The provincial championships provide an opportunity for the soccer community to celebrate the sport of Soccer. It is an exciting weekend where players can showcase all their hard work, dedication and passion for the sport” said Director of Soccer Rahim Mohamed
A highlight of the event is the Soccer Locker Skills Competition (Saturday, February 22 at 1:15 p.m.). The competition began in February 2011 as a Team Shoot-out Competition and has now evolved to include Speed Dribbling, Juggling and Accuracy Shooting.
